Just wondering if someone can help, I am trying to copy DVDs with this program, but when the movie gets to about 8 minutes it goes to the start of the movie! I have used this program before with great success but for some reason this has just started happening. I have tried reinstalling the program but still the same result.I have also used DVDx v2.1 before but that will not even start it comes up with an Windows XP error report. If someone can shed any light on this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dave.

When you mean copying, I assume you mean converting (to either vcd or svcd)?
I used to use DVDx 2.2 before I bought a DVD/RW and what I did was rip the movie to my hard drive first and then convert it. It saved time in the long run.
However, if you do not have a partition big enough to rip a movie to, it will convert 'on the fly' so to speak.

Rather than type everything down, go to www.doom9.org and follow the link in the drop-down box in th top right-hand corner for DVDx.
This an excellent step by step pictorial guide.

By the way, are you using Windows XP. If you are you may need to update your Aspi driver.

Thanks Steve, yes I did rip the movie to my hard drive first because I was having trouble with the encoding 007 Die Another Day and Star Wars 2, but they kept jumping scenes back and forth. I have found in a forum that this is a problem with these movies and the suggestion was to go back to DVDx v2.0 and this worked! I am using Windows XP Pro Edition Sp1 with Aspi 4.60. I will look at the link you suggested, and once again thanks for the reply.
