ok tried it with red dragon NTSC R1 to split complete dvd to two DVD-Rs.
disc1 is 4.60GB and disc2 is 3.17GB
well almost....will try other dvds.

ok on the following movies I get a "can't get split point"
All NTSC R1
ten commandments, Princess monoke, we were soldiers, enemy at the gates, me myself and irene.

The Grinch was going and did disc1 at 3.92GB and disc1 it stopped with this message "An error occured: Can't open file (00001000) and it did 3.66GB with .vobs but no .ifo files.

Anyone else helping to beta test this puppy out? If this comes out and fixes all the bugs then dvdxcopy $99 and intervideo dvdcopy $60 are wiped out with this freeware.

I also tried the beta and got the "can't get split point" error. This program has potential but it needs titleset selection just like DVDxCopy.

i did die another day with dvdfab while choosing angle 1. it work fine and i got split points of 3.5 gb and 3.46 gb for the resulting disk. i burn using instantcd+dvd. the disks played fine in a mintek 1600 and a sony 615 without any problems or plauses.

Please see josh thread on die another day to find out the problems that people were having with this movie.

dvdfab beta2 it's getting closer....

ok looking better and better....It is processing them all as before it would almost always said ""can't get split point".

ok tried it on three and they all pretty much had the same problems. It seems that disc1 always ends premature and not at a chapter point.
Disc 2 starts but is missing like 30 mins of video.

Disc1 4.18GB Disc 2 3.49GB
missing 36 or was it 26 mins of video

Die Another Day
Disc1 3.79GB Disc 2 3.44GB
half-way thru the credits it starts playing disc2 then skips about 20mins and then starts.

Me Myself and Irene
Disc1 4.15GB Disc 2 3.59GB
skips about 25mins of video on disc2...ends premature on disc1 (not at chapter point)

it stopped on disc1 at 49mins 46secs..
25 seconds short
disc2 started and is 100% perfect

I wouldn't worry too much as this EATG title seems to be a pain in the butt. I'm willing to bet 99% of the dvds will work 100% fine with dvdfab beta 3. I'd say release it.

mrbass, did you watch the entire movie to make sure it played right? I thought I had it right several times but found out I hadn't. There was looping and pauses. If it did indeed come out perfect, then awesome!! Dvdxcopy was the only way I could get that one backed up perfect. The upside of dvdxcopy is that you can keep all menu and extras too.

My apologies, I see dvdfab can do that stuff now too. Cool!

no I haven't burned them on dvd...just testing out with PowerDVD. I guess I better to test for any freezes or what have you. Just haven't had time yet..but definitely will sometime this week or next week for sure.
