Hi everyone.
I have recently encourted some slight problems with "check video stream for options". I regulary recompress some material to xvid(the soruce is or mpgeg2 or very high q-ty mpeg4(bitrate about 1500-3000) I recompress it about with bitrate about 800-1300 to put ~1.5h per cd. My source is not always readable. In stream may appear a couple of unreadable frames, As a result i get (-100 error cannot decompress frame number xxx) The problem with 2 last versions of VDMOd - (1.5.1.1) and the previous one - is that it mark almost ALL frames as bad. I mean that for example bad frame is 5350 - as i think(correct me if i wrong) all frames till the next key frame must be undecodable. But it marks all frames 5350-90345 frames as undecodable. The source is generally OK, i mean i watched it and it is OK except maybe 1-2 socounds of freezing. Only the earlier version of VirtualDubMod marks them correctly- i don't remember it's number cos im at work, but it is version where there are 2 options the "impreved check for errors" and "regular check for errors". So this "impreved" check ,though it works slower , it really works and marks exatly the bad frames. I really like last versions, of VDub,since there are many new options and useful things, but i can't use it couse error checking doesn't work fine. Does anyone gets same results? Anyone could know what could be the problem? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Could you please check vanilla vdub 1.5.4? I went back to the original vdub search manner because since 1.5 it worked with those files it wouldnt in 1.4 (and for which i developed the new code in some of the last 1.4.x mod versions). Since we'll upgrade to the 1.5.4 code soon, i won't do anything before that is included. Please keep your source till then (or clip out the faulty range with a good keyrange before and after the freeze and make it available to me).

Cheers
