a.) if it really is an iso file, rename it to *.iso and burn
b.) if it is an selfextracting archive (*.exe), unpack it first and burn

First check with Virus software to be safe.
Use WinISO or similar to check contents then resave with another name
as an ISO file, unless it's a bootable CD in which case WinISO might not be best option.
If it's just a couple of files, then extract them and burn unless it's a game CD .... OK what is the contents of the CD?

Its a Game cd, Its not self extracting, and just places a dos screen with nothing happening, i did scan it and its about the right size.
being dumb and all that.. can i open it in a programme and save as..
but what programme will allow me to do this?

it shows a dos box??
so it is not an image but a program (a selfextracting archive or...a virus)

does the dos box disappear immediately and you can't read what is says?
if so, try to start a new commandline prompt (start -> execute -> "cmd.exe") and run it from there.

Install daemon tools prog, load image and see what happens.

hmmm... downloaded iso... game cd...
that really sounds to me like a rule 6 violation...

besides, this forum is definitely not the right place to discuss games - illegal or not...
