@dvdshrink...

Thanks, buddy!! I've been waiting for this upgrade for so long now! Here is my 2 cents suggestion, though I understand you cannot include different suggestions for different users.
I read someone likes the 8 levels feature, someone else doesn't.
It would be great if your software included an extra option that would allow us to multiplex an external .m2v file.
This way quality fans could re-encode their movies (and/or extras) at their own will (and using the encoder they like most) and recreate the whole DVD structure without going through IFOedit or similar tools.

Do you think this is a foreseeble feature?

Thx a lot for your great piece of software.

PS: Ooops... posted on the wrong place.
@Mod, you may want to move this msg under the DVDShrink 2.0 thread.

Yet another feature request for dvdshrink

use a title that is a tad bit more specific please...

Here's the transcoding programs
dvd95copy, dvd2one, dvdshrink, instant copy 7
These transcoding programs will never demux to feed to an encoder...NEVER. It doesn't make sense for any of these transcoding programs to do so. You can demux with dvddecrypter...then what? You want dvdshrink to do all the bitrate calculation, etc.

You can do it manually or try dvd2dvr or reauthorist with dc4u and df4u.

Don't mean to be rude mrbass, but it looks like you have misread my message at least in a couple of points.

1)I didn't ask for DVDShrink to demux or calculate anything. What I was suggesting was a (RE)MUX option instead.
I read most people here don't want to loose quality. They could demux the main movie to a m2v file (using any tools they prefer), re-encode it with their favourite encoder.
DVDShrink could then take care of remuxing the resulting new m2v as the main movie and "level-compress" all the other portions of the DVD. All in one pass, and with one app only (instead of the Reauthorist, DC4U and DIF4U chain you mentioned).
That's all. No calculations. No demux. No frameserving. Nothing but just another option.

2)At the time of writing the subject I thought I was under the "DVDShrink 2.0 released" thread. I must have clicked "new thread" instead of "post reply". When I realised (24 mins later!!!) I was obviously wrong I edited my message and asked the Mod(erator) to move the message to the right thread instead of reposting the same message twice.

Maybe my english is not that good: I'll do my best to be more clear next time. May I ask you to do your share and pay more attention reading a message before replying the way you did.

Thanks.

I don't want to repeat all the reasons why this is not a good idea, so here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=324766#post324766) is a link to my earlier answer to this.

Thanks mpucoder, got the whole view now.
Had the feeling it was a 2 cents suggestion... :-)
