I've already tryed to look for some topic about this but didnt find anything that could help me.

I'm trying to convert to svcd [PAL] from a NTSC avi source using external subtitles but the subtitles arent sync with the audio and video, I tryed this with 2 diferent movies and even tryed moving one line that says 25fps true or something like that to the end but didnt solve, I tryed in virtual dub do extract the audio and then de video and remuxe it even toght the audio seems to be well compressed.
In BSplayer the subtitles are perfectly synced with the audio so it must be something from svcd.

have you tried urusoft subtitle workshop to change subs from 23,976 to 25 fps?

CrazyPortuguese
10th June 2003, 05:14
Well I've downloaded Subtitle Workshop and loaded the subtitles and in "Input FPS:" says 25FPS the same in "FPS" so I think the subtitles were already at 25FPS.

I've noticed now that in the begining the subtitles are sync but then they start to loose sincronization.

Well I give up have tryed everything resinstalling dvd2svcd and deleting the settings, but I've tryed at least 3 different avi files and I get exacly the same problem with the subtitles sync.
Anybody can recomend me an other program to do avi to svcd with external subtitles ?

I can't see which subtitle format you are using ... depending on the type (like srt), there is no way to tell the framerate of the subs, thus any fps displayed would be just a default assumption.
As you are doing ntsc -> pal & the subs are well synced in your source file, you should do the pal-speedup step & see if it solves the problem (I am pretty confident :)).
