Hi,

i got this MPEG-1 file i'd like to look at but crashes after some minutes in every player :(

Tryed fixing it with some programs :
Opening in VirutalDubMod gives me:
MPEG Import Filter Warning:
incomplete MPEG file detected. Last frame is maybe corrupted,
and loads only the first 5427 frames.

TMPGEnc, MPEG-Corrector, M1-Edit and MyFlix (from here:
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/faq.htm#repairmpg) aint working aswell.
Tryed Multiplexing, De-Multiplexing and enconding with TMPGEnc but it reads the first 5427 frames, then stops.

Any ideas how to fix this?
tnx

Did you encode this file ?

Did you try it to play at an other computer ?

Did you install all nececary codecs ?

Did you install a DVD Software Player ?

What player do you use ?

Did you install an MPEG codec ?

Does your system work properly ?

You said : "Last frame is maybe corrupted, and loads only the first 5427 frames." Did you try to re-encode the file ? Take a look here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55205), try this, it could be the same way.

Hi,

there is nothing wrong with my computer, codecs nor player (using old mplayer2.exe (v6.4) & mplayer 8.0 ).
I have some files of the same kind and they are all playing fine.
I even can watch this file but at frame 5427 it freezes...
Did not encode it myself btw.

I cant seek after the corrupted frame aswell (not with any player and not with TMPEnc). Is this normal with an MPEG stream one frame corrupt and you cant seek? or do you think the whole file is corrupt?
I just tryed cutting the file with range form after the corrupted frame till the end (in MPEG-tools, Merge & Cut), like you suggested in the other thread.
But got an error : Illegal MPEG video stream...
