Hi all i wonder if any of you know what my problem is. every time i goto burn a dvdr grey topped datawrite with my pioneer 104 i get this message *** Data Job Untitled1 Terminated with errors.
Error - 10 at Sector 816 - Disk write error - Command 2A Sense.03 ASC:0C ASCQ:00 ***
These grey tops used to be fine i have just burnt 4 of these and thrown 16 away as they initialize then spit it out ( the dvdr that is)
i have tried changing my firmware to 1.30/1.31/1.33/1.40 and still no joy. i reformatted my hd as well in case this was the problem but nothing works. i ahve tried prassi promo and dvd decrpyer and they both spit it out.
i can burn traxdatas fine but every time i put in a 2x media amd burn at 2x it either spits it out or every now and then burns it but its ful of erros.
I use a 1.2 athlon with 384 mbs of ram and no programmes running in the background.

I should also add they dont burn at 1x either i can't remember the last time i burnt a dvd-r ar 2x

Keep cool, let a bit of time to people for answer.

Media quality is the main problem that people face with DVD burning.
So you should try other media, like RITEK G04, my favorites.
But Pioneer, Apple or other good brand are OK.
First always try @X1 , and once it works @X1, try other speeds.

Get DVDspeed to have a look at your burned DVD and see if at least, beginning of the DVDR is well burned.


Also verify that UDMA is OFF on your Burner, many people reports problem with that. With Intel chipset boards, you can use Intel accelerator tool to set up max mode to be used on your burner. If VIa chipset, I don't know how.

To burn, also try the safest method I know, NeRO + Imgtool 1.0.0.4.
