I will try to create a large (living) FAQ depending problems with TMPG Encoder. All good answers in this forum will be moved here, so that everybody can take at first a look here before posting.

01)

Question : I want to encode a file, but the TMPGEnc shows me an error like "read error at adress XXXXXXX", or something similar!

Answer: You should check your RAM for errors! Most people have cheap RAM, but they sometimes are faulty --> so when TMPGEnc is working and the RAM gets full, it arrives the bad cluster and you get an READ/WRITE Error! Try this, ... only use one RAM slot at one time, then change the RAM, ... when it works without error, then change this and put your other RAM in the slot. When you get an error you found the bad RAM! Change it or just kick it away.

Other questions & answers will follow - If you have somequestions and the right answers then just send it via PM.

Thanks,
