After installing DirectX 9.0a, I'm having a few problems playing DVDs I created with IfoEdit.
Every now and then, DVD will hit the end of a chapter, and ZoomPlayer 3.0 will run at 100% CPU and will hang at the end of the chapter.
If I use the 'next chapter' command in ZoomPlayer, it moves on and everything is fine, no content is skipped.
This is 100% repeatable when the problem occurs.
With DirectX 9, ZoomPlayer plays right thru the problem area.
I used the following procedure with T2 Extreme, splitting to 2 DVDs - and there are several places where it hangs with DirectX 9a, but works perfectly with DirectX 9.
I used DvdDecrypter to rip T2 Extreme's PGC2 (the longest) in IFO mode. Then created new IFOs (then 'get vts sectors'), then I used IfoEdit to split it into 2 DVDs while stripping out all but the largest english sound track with no sub-titles.
Then, I used IfoEdit to create new IFOs for the 2 disks (then 'get vts sectors') and then burned the image created by ImgTools using Nero.
I notice that the reported timeline (of ZoomPlayer) seems to show that there is a missing minute at the problem area. When I skip to the next chapter to get over the 'hung' chapter, the timeline increments one minute (but no content is skipped).
I cam play the DVD in PowerDVD and the timeline does not increment - and it does not hang (but does not use DirectShow).
What am I doing wrong when creating the DVDs?
