AVI splitter problem

Hey guys, maybe someone can tell me whats wrong with my computer: I try to use AVI & MPEG Splitter v 1.48 to split an avi file, but it doesn't work: when I click Split button, nothing happens.. it's just sits there doing nothing... maybe Im missing a codec or something? I installed latest Divx codec, and thats about it. Help?

i have never uses that program, but you could give virtualdub a try for splitting *.avi, just remember to set both audio & vido to Direct Stream Copy and hit Save as Avi.

I also recommend you to try VirtualDub, as dani82, but, remember, if you are working with ogg files, or VBR mp3, use VirtualDubMod.

I guess I can try that. Although I really like the AVI splitter - it's very simple and very fast. It worked before - I just reinstalled my Win XP (bought new Asus P4C800 dlx MB, got new ram, new 10K rpm HD etc). And now my comp is screaming at 3.4Ghz (OC), but AVI splitter refuses to work after I reinstalled everything. Everything else works fine.
