Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone out there would know how I can fix my slow CCE 2.50 encode speed. It happened when I upgraded my AMD 1800+ CPU to an AMD 2400+. The AMD 1800+ would hit speeds of 1.5-1.6, but now I can barely reach 0.700 with the new AMD 2400+. I also checked to see that SSE was enabled, and according to WCPUID, it is.

Specs: ECS K7S5A Mobo (latest OC bios)
512 PC2100 DDR RAM
AMD 2400+ (2.0Ghz)
Win2k3 Enterprise
Maxtor 30 gig + WD 60 gig

Help would be appreciated,

Thank you :)

CCE speeds aren't always an apples to apples comparison, alot depends on the settings of the encode. How many movies have you encoded since the upgrade? I've found that CCE seems to be also heavily dependant on CPU and Memory bandwidth. My current encoding machine consists of an Abit NF7 V2.0, 2 x 256 Samsung PC3200, and an XP2400 all running at 10 x 200 and gets between 2.00 and 2.25.

I've done 2 movies since the upgrade, with the both having a speed of about 0.8. What OS do you use brashquido?
