I had an excellent conversion finished but never burned it. Then I converted another movie in a different folder but both under the same directory. After the second movie was finished, the folder with the first conversion became corrupted. All the file names becames weird symbols and squares. What is going on? This is a brand new 200 GB harddrive. No other folders are corrupted. Should I have used a different directory for the second movie. Should I always burn immediately after a conversion and before a subsequent conversion?

Hope someone can help before I have to spend another 24 hours converting.

Thanks,
Slobbie

Hi slobbie,

you should definately use different folders for each movie! Just use the "Select new default folder when ripping starts" option to let DVD2SVCD automtically remind you on that. Only if you use different folders, you can use the "Recover" function of DVD2SVCD properly in case something went wrong with one movie after having converted another one.
