DVD2AVI delay value?

When I make .d2v project file I also get ac3 file with specified time delay in miliseconds. Does that same delay has to be used when interleaving audio and video in avi with, lets say, NanDub?

Thanks! I was looking at guides already. What was confusing me is that in DVD2AVI guide this delay is mentioned and also that I should write down it's value but in part of the DivX 5 guide about multiplexing it is not mentioned explicitly any more. To be honest, I had no patience to check if someone asked this question on forum already so I asked it myself. Thanks anyway!
