Hey guys ur guides and posts really helped me a lot already
but i still got a problem for an xvid rip (maybe i should have post this in xvid section, but i think its a newbie question)

here's the prob

what qustom matrix should i use for a 1cd rip xvid movie and for a 2cd rip xvid movie ?

and also where do i adjust that ?

Do i have to load custom matrix in first pass already or only in second pass ?

Hope u guys can help me

I know i've learnt a lot already from here.

i have read that

but i wanna know how to use it

u can select quantization tab in xvid settings and then edit choose
edit quantizer matrix

but should i use that in both passes or only in second pass ?

Hi and welcome to the forum-

It's better if you use the same matrix in both passes.

As for choosing your matrix. If you want to use either the MPEG or H.263 matrices, then you choose them in the Global Tab-Quantization Type. If you wish to use a Custom Matrix, then you choose MPEG-Custom in the Global Tab-Quantization Type, and then over in the Quantization Tab, hit Edit Quantizer Matrix-Load Matrix, and then scroll over to where you have your Custom Matrices stored. You have to get the Custom Matrices. They don't come with XviD. I hope that answers the question.
