I'm making a movie with Maestro, where I add the subtitles from Maestro SBT. I want to make Yellow, the main color of the subs, maybe 75% transparent, so you can slightly see the video underneath it. Just as a test.

In Maestro, the only way I know is to open each bitmap and drag down the counter to a 25% decrease. I can't do this for every subtitle bitmap, this movie has over 1,500!

Is there a way, (IFO edit or through Maestro) to set all the yellow color at a lower transparency?? How? I opened the IFO in IFO edit but didn't really see anything that might help.

Open the .son file that MaestroSBT creates with notepad/wordpad and you will see a script like this:

st_format 2
Display_Start non_forced
TV_Type PAL
Tape_Type NON_DROP
Pixel_Area (0 575)
Directory J:\DVD-RIP\Friends Season 7\Subs
Contrast ( 15 0 15 15 )

# Palette entries:
#
# 00 : RGB(255,255, 0)
# 01 : RGB(131,127, 0)
# 02 : RGB( 8, 0, 0)
#

SP_NUMBER START END FILE_NAME
Color (0 1 2 3)
Display_Area (000 000 719 573)
0001 00:00:04:02 00:00:05:10 70100001.bmp
Display_Area (000 000 719 573)

Just change the settings in the line that says "Contrast".
15 0 15 15 means that the first slider(from top to bottom) in maestro will be at 15(100% visible), the second at 0(0% visible) the third at 15 and the forth at 15...So change the settings(play around to see what is write for you)

Remember that EVERY time you change a setting, you save and then import again at Maestro

As for the color, you have to edit the subtitle pallete, not each's subs color...
So, the first line in the pallete represents the 4 sliders...
So the third slider is the 3rd color in the 16-color palette...
Change it, save the pallete and then load the pallete again
