I'll start by saying, this isn't my wonderful idea to convert a divx movie to DVD, but a friend of mine who is just dying to have this one import racing video on dvd.

I ran the AVI through TMPGEnc and it split it up into an m2v and wav format for me. All sounds and looks fine, both have the same length of time for the audio and video.

Problem...

When I try to combine the audio and video tracks using several authoring programs, somehow the audio goes out of sync with the rest of the movie half way through!

What could I be doing wrong?
Is there a ''known'' way to convert DivX into VCD or DVD that somebody could share?

thanks

thanks!
I'm guessing the standard AVI -> X guides will work for divx format too?

DivX is a Video Codec, that is usually stored in a container called AVI. So if it says AVI -> Whatever, then it includes any Video in the AVI container.

great thanks!
I'm going to be so relieved when this is done. My friend will hopefully be so disappointed with the quality that I hope he never asks me to waste my time putting divx on dvd again! :D
