I'm trying to do a Buffy dvd and get a corrupt source error, it errors when creating VTS__01_P03-80-192K-[-80]ms(fixed)-ch2English.AC3

I have tried versions 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and 1.1.3

The DVD itself seems fine I have created an ISO and played the episode and the sound is fine.

If i press ok it contines but when the whole thing is complete i get no audio on that episode.

Here is the log file and some screen shots

I had a DVD in the Buffy series that wouldnt read all the way thru, as a matter of fact I couldn't even make an .iso of it! I don't know what is up with those Buffy DVDs, but they sure didn't go thru a good quality control system before they were released. Ironically, the same DVD that I couldn't even make an .iso of played fine on the standalones.

I am having the same problems with the Pulp Fiction R1 DVD.

But it seems to be happening on random PGC's

The log doesn't appear to show anything to do with the error though.

It happened on version 1.1.1 and 1.1.3

The log file isn't going to show an error because this isn't a DoItFast4U!-generated error message. I believe it's DVD Decrypter generated, though I don't know. There's nothing I can do about it. It's telling you exactly what's up: It perceives something as Bad media.

If I do the rip manually on that PGC it works fine, can I just copy that .ac3 file into the directory manually then let DoItFast4U continue with the rest. As when you press ok to the source error it continues.

The only problem I can see with this is it doesn’t create an AC3Log for that PGC does it need one and if so how can I create one?

I have the same problem With Dinosaur PAL. I know the image file is fine, so this must be a bug. It happens when it tries to correct the AC3 delay on certain files.

It doesnt need the log file, that's just created for your viewing. I'd contact the author and see if he can figure out what's causing the issue. Sounds like an ac3delaycorrector.exe issue, and I don't have a compiler capable of modifying the source even if I could figure out the bug...

I have had the same problem before and the usual fix for me was to rip the files to HD w/ SmartRipper at 1/2x rip speed... takes forever but it does rip them ok..

Then make an iso and proceed as normal

I know last few versions of DVDDecrypter have had speed control but I belive it's on write only... not read - someone correct me if I'm wrong

The image is already ripped to HDD and is perfect.

For 3.1.9.0:
tools, settings, device, set read speed :/

More on-topic, I've had a couple of instances where bad rips have been let through by DVD Decrypter (crappy DVDrom drive) and then even DVD2AVI after that. I pick up corruption though by importing the AC3 files into Maestro (I have batch file that does this after DVD Decrypter/DVD2AVIdg). Maestro parses the AC3 files frame by frame. Any errors = bad rip.

Try switching to using DVD2AVIdg in DoIFast4U...... fixes most of the crashes for me..

I had the same problem with a couple of movies I tried to do this week. I went back to using 3.1.9.0 of dvddecrypter and havent had any problems since and the backups both work fine.
