Hi, I have some DVD's made from home movies with no chapter points, I'd like to make simple chapter selection menus for each dvd. What software do I need to make the menu? I'd like not to have to reencode the movies.
Thanks,

if you just want stills, then capture a still for each of the chapters, and drop them on as layers in photoshop over a custom background (or a 'borrowed' one), flatten it, export to bmp and drop it in your program.

Hi, What program :) I can capture stills no problems, I just do not know how to make the chapter selections menu for my existing DVD-R movies. No fancy menu is required. I know how to create menu from mpeg, avi files then burn to DVD-R

I have not seen a program especially free one :) that makes menu for an existing DVD movie.

Thanks.

You can demux your existing DVD-movie (with VOBedit or others)
then use the video- and audio-streams in DVD Workshops or ReelDVD
(they both donīt reencode compatible streams and there are free trials for both of them) and author your DVD quite easy.
