non-anamorphic widescreen subtitle placement

hey guys

i wanna re-author some of my non-anamorphic widescreen dvds and change the subtitle placement so i can zoom in on my widescreen tv..

is there like a standard value for the vertical subtitle placement for both pal and ntsc?

you can try to rip the subs using subrip, and instead of keeping the current positioning, you can make them move up

of course some movies (Gone in 60 seconds) use subs at the top of the frame too, cause of rendered titles in the video stream.
