I have tried Q&A couple times, and alos the basic and advanced D2S forum but I could not find the answers.

I tried to rip this DVD and it stopped at the 4th VOB files out of the total 7. I tried again, with VStrip, same result. I tried Smartripper, it did the same.

When it stopped, the DVD ROM actually had the light on forever it seemed it was still ripping but it could be on for 24 hours without any more progress.

I just stopped, what do I do now?

Some questions:

- ASPI drivers installed?
- DVD unlocked by using a software player?
- tried DVD Decryper?

Also I had something like this happen to me when the DVD was scratched. So you might want to check that out as well.

I re-installed the ASPI driver, and used VStrip to rip it. This time it ripped only 4 VOB files out of 5, also the 4th one was very short. It did not freeze up the D2S instead it went on to the subsequent processes? I am kind of waiting to see how long the final movie will be.

I also noticed when this happened, the original movie length in the conversion window(where we get to see each chapter by the pull down) changed to show only the total length, and 2 bogus(very short time like couple seconds) instead of the total length plus every chapter. Does this have anythign to do with the problem?

I used PowerDVD also but it did not change the problem.

I will try the other ripper later.

Thanks.
