Just for Fun ;)

Who's "The DADDY?!" (http://www.itsthedaddy.com/index.jsp)

Scenarist or Maestro? [EDIT - thought I'd expand this to include other programs.]

Please give your reasons for voting the way you did! e.g. it's not necessarily about absolute power - it might be a combination of features.

both fantastic, but my vote goes to scenarist

I think it is Maestro, cause it has 90%+ of Scenarist's capabilities, the rest 10%- probably wont ever be asked and
has a way smoother learning curve.

So its apparent that even though it has less capabilities it beats Scenarist to the points.

can i refrain from posting till DVD SP 2 arrives?

hopefully it will be a notable upgrade to maestro (cause DVD SP 1.5 doesnt come terribly close, but is awesome for the price, more on that in another thread...)

lol - you got me there, mpucoder, but in my defence, I will just tell you (honestly!) that I have not voted for Maestro in the poll! :D

Maestro for me, only because it is actually understandable for my feeble mind, and is still powerful enough for all I want to do.

However I am getting into DVD Lab. I have been using the demo, and so far it looks like the solution that I can actually pay for and not "Demo". :sly: It doesn't have everything I want yet, subtitles and multiple audio tracks, but these are coming. Everything else I have been extremely impressed with for the price. Leaves all similarly priced tools in the dust.

I would say Scenarist, but then I never tried maestro so that's not really fair ;)

OK guys, regarding the fabulous googlefights:

If 2 000 000 people have a Ford and 20 000 have a Lamborghini,
i still believe that Lamborghini is a better car.

thanx, oddyseus, although I voted for Scenarist ´cause I am
one of the freaks who dig around in the last 10% of the DVD-specs

and you ARE right about the learning curve ...:)

heh, interesting addition of extra apps ;)

i see DVDLab is beating ReelDVD amongst others ;)

DVD SP 2 and Encore are both pending release (i should have DVD SP 2 in early August, and im not going to vote in the meantime), and i still hate the DVD SP 1.x interface (especially now that i managed to create a dvd that hard locks Apple DVD player and PowerDVD XP).

@Lord

but the lambo's dont really fit in normal road lanes ;)
