i am trying to encode a movie to xvid with vidomi. i know this isnt a vidomi forum, but i figure my problem has nothing to do with vidomi. When I encode a 75 min movie with xvid in vidomi, the picture comes out pretty great, but the audio sounds as if its going over an intergalactic walkie talkie. hard to describe but if youve had this problem before then that description should suffice. Is this a problem during my encoding or what?

I have the following installed :

Windows 2000
newest version of vidomi
XviD-04102002-1 _ALPHA_ Release
ffdshow
kazaa-lite codec package
Windows Media Player 9

i have installed and uninstalled any codecs i could think of (nimo package, xvid binary, SLD codec package) and ALL yield the same results. what could the problem be??

thanks,

eric

i should note that this happens with several codecs, not just XviD

Surely this is far more of an Audio problem if the video's fine?!? What's it got to do with XviD??

Strange thing is you tell us all about the video packages but not even what codec your encoding your audio too...When its obviously the audio thats having the trouble.

Try searching the audio forum here as well as the vidomi forums for similar problems. Also try using an app other than vidomi and see if you get the same problem.

Sorry but this doesn't belong here so im going to have to close it.
