Jdobbs,
I think I know the cause of "overflow error" when reading IFO files with Asian Language. One possible cause is that the type of language is not defined in ifoupdate. Like Ifoedit, you can select which language for the subtitle or substream. This I believe came from a library of IFO defined languages.
In VTSI_MAT in audio attribute and sub-picture stream attributes, you can double click and then select the language. This would then show up with bunch of numbers beside those numbers, the hex codes. I am sure you know this already.
So what you can do is take any IFO file and change the language in both audio and sub-picture to a different lanuage or add a different language (try Asian language) in addition to whatever already exists. When you add, make sure you also add them in the VTS_PGC_X.
Try it and I think this would give you the same overflow error that we are experiencing.
I hope this helps.
