Hi,
I've spent hours searching the forums for an answer to my problem.
I'm trying to convert divx, xvid to mpeg2 using TMPGEnc-2.51.33.127.
I have installed DivX_Total_Pack1.4 and avi's play fine in windows media player etc. I've used TMPGEnc-2.51.33.127 on divx files with W2K in the past without any problems.
When I try to open the avi in tmpg (both with WinME and WinXP) i get the aforementioned message displayed. I believe it has something to do with not having a VFW playback filter? If that is the case how do I remedy the situation ?
For what its worth GSPOT reports that my VFAPI Reader Codec 1.03 has an unknown VFW Driver file missing!
I read a thread at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/819 which mentioned about registering the vfapi codec. I downloaded it from this site and ran vifpset.bat. That didn't seem to help.
Any good help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Richard Satur.
