Before that please test it on possible usefulness. As I wrote in another thread it worked very well on a quite specific problem.
For beeing more generic it needs an inbuilt Bob (for testing the frames and maybe for output,too).
I used it that way:

AviSource
Bob #which does a SeparateFields!
Deblend
SelectEven

General use would be:
AviSource
SeparateFields
Deblend #here it gets slightly shifted frames to compare which results in worse compare results
Weave

As I'm currently doing the whole Star Trek Next Generation series for the fun of it, I'd say this filter could help here a lot (messed up IVTC during the NTSC->PAL conversion, already on DVD).

YV12 is a must for the filter being useful for me ;) I'd really like to test it :)

If you want to have BIG FUN, try to capture the TNG episodes that "Kabel 1" currently puts on air. I really wonder, what some guys get their money for ...
By now, they are at season 5. They improved from 500%-ultra-crap during season 1 to 150%-normal-crap up to now. (Season 1 looked like very badly done VCDs - no detail, color ghosting/smearing over 10-25 frames ...)

To swing on topic:
Today I gave a 'deblend' very quick shot on this sources - with no success at first glance. I will spend more time on it over the weekend.

If you indeed try an episode of "Kabel 1" just for fun, you will notice that XviD sets hardly any keyframes on this source (*hint*)

I'll love this tool, It seems to be exactly what I "requested" a few weeks ago, and the way it does it is quite the same I wanted to make it.
I'll go and test it right now on some anime SHQ TV caps.
I already know that some blends won't disappear since I have some blends following each other, but I still can't think about a way to get rid of them.

maybe their "image inpainting" method could help to remove consecutive blends if you can define what you want to remove.

note: if this "inpainting method" is real, why isn't it applied in a "delogo" filter since the results looked amazing to me?

APF_Gandalf: thanks for the link. As I'm fiddling on a delogo plugin, this is very interesting and seems indeed nearly TOO good to be true.
But I will check it through.

[EDIT] you gave me quite heave lecture stuff.
BTW the most correct term for those "delogo" algorithms is
IMAGE INPAINTING
(if someone wants to search himself)
