I always seem to have problems previewing VOBs in programs... including Reauthorist (also in ChopperXP, VobRator, etc.).
Anyone know how to fix this problem? Do I need to install something? I thought I had the latest stuff, but I guess I'm wrong. It's frustrating, but in RA it just crashes and closes the program.
BTW, I'm using Windows XP SP1.
Thanks!!
all of those I believe use DX... maybe check your DX version?
I've had problems where the preview is just black..try "shaking" the window a little - some have suggested upgrading your videocard drivers too

I had the same problem a while ago and "SHAKING" the RA appliation window should work.
I thten upgraded my video drivers (Radeon 8500)to the latest and this seems to have fixed it in RA for 99% of the time.
Cheers...

Yeah, I'll give that a shot... I have the latest DirectX drivers but haven't looked at upgrading the Radeon drivers in a while. By shaking do you mean "moving the window"??
grab the window title bar.... hold your left mouse button and give it a good shake....

LOL...
Is that the software equivalent of whacking the machine or what?
:D

thank MS for that one... works on most all apps using DX that have that issue :D

Ok, that works, I don't really care why but it works.
I wonder if the author of ReAuthorist knows whats up with this, this is an old thread and the program has had many updates since then.
