ffvfw and Tmpgenc [Archive]

Hi I'm new to using YV12 so please bear with me. I'm doing DVD > VCD and only just started using Avisynth v2.5.2 in YV12 colourspace. I don't fully understand what ffvfw does except letting me input to Vdub (I only need for viewing) and Tmpgenc for encoding. For best results am I better of using ffvfw or just puting ConvertToYUY2()at the end of my script?

Any feedback appreciated......thanks in advance.

ffvfw makes the YV12->YUY2 conversion for you when opening a YV12 script in vdub. I think its color conversions are based on the AviSynth ones, so there should be no difference with 'ConvertToYUY2'.
