Men in Black 2

In Men in Black 2 NTSC disk 1, there is a feature on the main menu called "Alien Broadcast". When active, it displays an icon at the start of chapters 3 and 7 (and others) that if clicked bring you to an extra.

I'm not sure what this is called in authoring lingo. Using DIFU and Reauthorist, these aren't reproduced.

Using IC7, the navigation works, but the icons at the chapter start are not displayed. You have to know where they are and click, but they work then.

Question: what is this feature and can I include it in my backup?

You're probably talking about button over video (a subtitle stream, that is turned into button, just like a menu). These are not very easily reproduced, but can be done ofcourse.
