I run the update last weak and everything has worked great so far. Better quality, faster and always predict perfect size so far
(4 movies and evry one came out between 4.34-4.36gb).
But there is one strange thing I can't figure out. In the first menu on every DVD where you choose language, there is a little green border in the botton right corner on the menu. Not very disturbing, because it disappear at the second you leav the menu, but any way what the hack is this?
Have never had that problem before, so wounder if it has something to do with this new version?

It's not new, in fact it's quite old.
Me and Fmazzanti have often reported it, but strangely I cannot find the threads now.
The only mention i found is here:http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53732&perpage=20&pagenumber=3 (My posting)
It was reported as "transparent still menus" or something.
It's a minor bug, visible on Philips standalones (mine) and "clones" (Fmazzanti's a Marantz) I believe, as noone else has confirmed it.
Strangely, the same menus work OK on other standalone brands and Power DVD.
What it is:
For some reason, sometimes on a still menu, you can see a horizontal strip with either the next or previous still menu, or a green line, or some huge pixels. If it happens, it happens always on the exact same menu picture, so it's something in the encoding, not the standalone (I think).
It's a repeatedly confirmed bug, at least by me and Fmazzanti, and I had hoped it was remedied in the latest version. Alas, it was not, although the update said: "Still picture problem fixed (occured in menus with sound)"
Apparently they meant something else. As noone seems to care, it's gone into oblivion, hoping it will be corrected in some future version by "mistake". :(

Guys, the reason it only shows up on these two is because they are both essentially the same units, Marantz is the "posh" arm of Philips. If you look inside anything from Marantz, they use purely Philips components - eg the old CD4x, 5x and even the 6x series CD players use Philips CDM12 transports and almost identical internals. The DVD players are the same, hence why the problem is only ocurring on these two brands of DVD player. There is quite possibly something in the firmware of the DVD player that doesn't like the way Instantcopy is doing things!
Just a bit of useless info for everyone!

Nope this error don't show in some standalon, well haven't test so I don't no if it does. However it does show in PowerDVD. Have never had this error before, but it has occured in 3 different movies with this new version of Instant. It's there in the very first menu, where you choose language and disappare after that.
So it seems to be a new bug with this version or something. However it's strange that no one else have had or report about this bug!!

I use Power DVD for a rough testing [i]only[/]. Just for fun, try "8 Mile" R1, if you can get it. You will see that the "titles" in the still menus are invisible, though selectable!
Plus, it's VERY forgiving on ifo-messed encodings, so not really a reliable tool. But it's great for watching movies :)
Does the problem occur on standalones? That's the real test.
