[VOB Extras] final result does not correspond to the actual number of chapters

I want to try using IFOedit's available option: VOB Extras

I have the following files 21 .VOB-files; each vob file equals one chapter:

VTS_01_1.VOB -to- VTS_01_9.VOB
VTS_01_10.VOB -to- VTS_01_21.VOB


After [Create IFOs] with IFOEDIT created additional files:

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO


VTS_01_0.IFO shows 21 chapters in PGC. Now, i go to [VOB Extras] and choose the following options:

[Options]
Strip Stream's
Strip VOBID's
Correct Vob-Unit (Navigation Pack) pointers in VOB-files
Correct original IFO files.
Create new IFO files. (Movie only)

[VOB EXPERT options]
Remove P-UOps
Remove Macrovision
Adjust Vob-Unit pointers
Adjust Audio/Subp point.
Vob Size: 1 GB

[File/Directory paths]
Destination Directory: M:\Video_TS

[OK]

[Stream List: Keep all audios and VOBid's, [Correct IFO tables]


When the process is done, I use PowerDVD to playback the files in the destination directory [M:Video_TS]. Everyting plays fine, except there are ONLY 19 Chapters instead of 21 ! Also, the PGC_1 in Vts_01_0.ifo only shows 19 chapters!

As far as i know, all .VOB-files are OK when i playback them individually.

Help?!

When you previewed after, did your chapters 20 and 21 played? Also, can you post what files you have in your destination directory?

I wonder if creating IFOs twice is resulting in your less chapters? Can you strip without checking "Create new IFO files" option and post back on what the outcome is? Also have your "AutoCopy Menu-files to destination" checked.

Yes, I've tried that already. What i've done is seperate the 'problem' VOB's each to its own directory and rename them. E.g.:

Vts_01_5.vob -> \dir1\Vts_01_001.vob

Then i run VobEdit, opened Vts_01_001.vob and press [Edit, Join Clips] output file, [First VOB-ID:1]:

\dir2\Vts_01_1.vob

When finished, i check the new vob with VOBrator, and it's now -looks- ok; the ID isn now [VOB(ID=1)].

Now, when I try to merge all VOB's again, VTS_01_5.VOB still got skipped. :angry:

Ooooohh, i've read that article over and over again, but i forgot to read the introduction text:

The trick to join multiple/different VOB files, is just every new clip or vob file must have a different VOB-ID. Then they can be packed together to one Title-Set and IfoEdit can then create IFO files for it, to burn it to DVD-R.

With that in mind, i renamed all my VOB files like the following:
VTS_01_001.VOB
VTS_01_002.VOB
VTS_01_003.VOB
etc, etc, etc... And It Works !!! :D

Still, the result isn't exactly what i wanted:

I wanted that ALL individual VOB-file has one common ID: [VOB (ID=1)] instead. Why? you would ask...Well, i want to keep these individual vob-files (call it: Chapter) for later use. So i can combine different VOB's from other sources -together without using VobEdit to rename VOB id's all over again. :rolleyes:

Anyway, you've helped me out with the problem I described in this topic. ;) I think ur really 2C:devil::devil:L
