View Full Version : How to merge and demux MPEG-2 (SVCD) successfully?

I've been after this question for about two weeks but I didn't find a sufficient answer yet. I got two MPEG-2 files (SVCD) and want to merge them. TMPGEnc should work - but unfortunately it doesn't. The resulting file is asynchronous after the first 45 minutes (which is obviously the second of the two files). I assume that the audio and the video layer have slightly different lenghts. Now I found DVTool which is doing its job quite well.

Since I want to put this video on DVD I have to demux the video in order to author the DVD with DVDMaestro. And here comes the problem. After trying to demux the two-in-one file with TMPGEnc it gives me an audio and a video file at the size of the first disk. Any hints here how to solve this? I also tried PVAStrumento but that didn't manage to fix the file. Thanks in advance.
