xcd to dvd

hi sorry for this i can usually work things out but this no
i have an xcd that i want to convert to dvd as i have just bought a nec 1100a but i can get the dat out and i have dat2file but what ext should the file have cos if i choose avi it wont open in virtuadub and tmpge gives a acm error

Why you want to do somenthing so stupid? You can't make decent DVD of DivX/XviD movie, transcoding sucks.

si i can play it on my standalone m8 and only 1 disc plus the playback is fine imho

It's "*.ogm" then.

ok renamed it ogm mediaplayer plays it but i stll get acm error when i try to encode it in tmpge it loads ok but errors when i hit start

Use the search function and look into the tmpg forum. ACM=Audio Compression Manager.
