Hey,

i am trying to put a 25 fps avi together with a 23.97fps
(so, the audio file is longer in seconds than my video) mp3 file.
Any hints how i can do this easily?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but couldnt find useful hints
by searching, only (s)vcd stuff.

read the doom9 guides before you start a new thread!

There is a tool around called WLA (Wave Lenght Adjust) that will adjust the length of your audio.
It's at the download section, audio tools section.
You have to decode to wav aas it only works on WAV's.

Thanks everyone. I managed it by changing the framerate down to 23.97, a little bit cutting of the audio, done. Thanks.

Another way is to change the sample-playback-rate of the audio (works only for computer-playback of course)...
The formula is this:

wantedfps/givenfps*sampling frequency

So if you would like to convert from 23,976 to 25 fps, then you would get 46033,92 if your sampling frequency were 48000...
Changing the sampling rate to that value would slow down the audio-track just the way you need it (beware that you don't do a source sample rate conversion, because this would change the sample rate but would maintain the speed - you only want to adjust the playback speed...).
I can't remember how this setting is called exactly at the moment...
You can of course do a SSRC later on, if you need 44100 or 48000...

This way you don't have to cut the audio...

What soundcard do you recommend to play that ?
