I like the way Tmpgenc allows you to resize, crop and add a black mask easily. In VirtualDub I find I never get the same results so easily.
In Tmpgenc I'm able to resize a 640x480 avi to 352x480 and crop 20 off the top and bottom and 4 from each side. I then add a black mask of 20 to top & bottom and 5 to each size.
In VirtualDub I must resize from 640x480 to 342x440 and then add the frames of 20 top, 20 bottom (440+20+20=480) and 5 to each side (5+5+342=352) however the resized video in VirtualDub does not look properly resized (as it does in Tmpgenc).
Is there a better resize filter for VirtualDub other then the internal or the VDMod_Resize.vdf filter ?
I don't want to use Avisynth...so please don't even suggest it...
Thanks
