[Atlantis] Weird problem with stripped menu.

Okay, I am almost done with Disney's Atlantis. I have stripped almost every bonus feature and all the trailers, but kept the complete english menu. Now I have a 4,32gb dvd! :D But I can't burn it yet :devil: I have this weird problem with the menu.

Atlantis has only 1 Language Menu Unit; english, but if you look through the vod-idz you find a french and dutch menu. I have to strip this, if not my dvd is 4,52gb. :(

vob-idz before stripping:

1-24 English menu
25 Language selection screen (first played screen)
26-61 Dutch and French menu (all stripped)
62-65 Blanks

After stripping:

1-24 English menu
25 Language selection screen (first played screen)
26-29 Blanks

After stripping, the menu works perfect! Just don't select the dutch or french menu :D , it will crash if you do. I could delete the buttons, but then I would be pretty weird to select only one button... And I don't like to see this kind of screen when you just inserted your dvd in the player. So it has to be deleted!

Okay now here comes the weird part. If I delete the playback of strip id 25, part of my menu gets screwed up! But when I compare the command of the buttons and the menuPCGz of the old and new VIDEO_TS, everything is the same, when the buttons are clicked, it still refers to the correct title, but it play the wrong one.

Can anyone help me with this, because I don't know where to look for anymore

how about this?

For example, a sdtructure like this:

menu 1 - root menu
menu 2 - audio menu
menu 3 - caption menu
menu 4 - VobID 1-24
menu 5 VobID 25
menu 6 VobI 26-29

when the DVD plays, it jumps to the root menu or main menu which is menu 4. when you select the language menu is accesses menu 6. Here's what I do:

VTSM_PGCI_UT
PGC_MENU 6

Add Pre Command: Link PGCN 5

Now, whenever you access the menu button for langugaes, it will automatically send you back to the main menu. However, you won't even see the language menu at all, it will seem the button at the main menu for languages is inoperative.

That should do it.

No, first you will see the screen where you select you language, then the main menu pops up. But I don't want to change the menu at all, I want to keep it as it's now. It's just that one button doesn't work properly when I delete the playback or strip vob-id 25 (languagescreen).

When you strip all extra's, audio, subtitles and trailers. Why do you need a menu?
When you strip the movie with ifoedit, remove subtitles and audio you don't want, get vts sectors you end up with a movie that starts when you put it in your dvd player.
But the question is. When you remove all extra's why a menu???:confused:

I ripped allmost all extra's, not all. I also have space enough left on the dvd-r, so why not keep the menu? But lets keep this topic a little bit on track and not start a discussion about this.

If you don't want (and/or don't see the sense of) a menu screen with only one button (and I agree), then the skip technique posted above by psxzombie makes good sense. You might also change the firstplay to the root menu (or to the movie itself).

Okay, I fixed it.

I just found out another small problem. The Angle, Sub and Audio menu aren't correct. If I press these buttuns on my remote or in the softwareplayer of ifoedit, it show the wrong screen. How can I correct this?

(btw, what is the difference between the root and tittle-menu?)

There may be a solution to this but I need information from you. I hoping that your menu and movie resides in the same titleset. If so, can you post a copy of your Menu Language Unit and annotating which Menus are the correct menus. For example, Menu_5 is your main menu.
