Issues trying to load some VOBs into DVD2AVI

I'm using DVD2AVI 1.76 (althou have tried 1.82 and 1.86 and had same problem). When I try to open up some VOB's of backed-up DVDs (Catch me if you Can, A Beautiful Mind), the video window never re-sizes, nothing is displayed, the "Video" drop-down menu never becomes active, and DVD2AVI freezes (windows reports "not responding"). The VOB's were properly decoded using DVDdecrypter...the same method I have used for many other DVDs. Other VOBs will load into DVD2AVI fine, it's just these two (so far...) that I have had trouble with. I have also tried re-ripping using SmartRipper, but still had the same problem.
Any ideas? Anyone have similar problems with other titles? Anyone had SUCCESS with either of these titles?
I'd greatly appreciate any help of any kind.

Can you play the vobs in a media player or DVD player?

no, I can't get any of the VOBs to play in cinemaster 2000 or in media player. Is it just a bad rip? Does that happen frequently with DVDdecrypter?

Yes, it's a bad rip. No it doesn't happen very often.
Try vStrip instead.
