Hi,

apologies in advance if this is 'basic', but I am completely new to the H+ game and have searched theses forums without success, maybe because of my lack of knowledge in the H+ arena.

I have 'inherited' a DXR3 card which I thought was perfect for adding a TV/OUT to an old PIII/550 that is doing many things like gateway, Music to HIFI,... I thought I could add DIvx on my TV through this TV/OUT. The little bit I found (and understood) from my investigations is that H+ drivers should work on the DXR3, but I get no luck trying to play Divx through the DIVXPLUS app. I then installed Eugene's player which shows the movie on my monitor but does nothing when I try to switch to TV/OUT.
I would really appreciate some help if anybody has got an idea for me.

Thanks

DivXPlus from my experience isn't very usable anyways. I tried it with my old Hollywood + about a year ago. The app stretched everything full screen, there was no way to force it to maintain aspect ratios that I could find. The quality also wasn't that great, playing via S-Video out on a Radeon card was noticably better (whereas with DVDs the opposite was true, the Hollywood + was typically better for image quality).

Bottom line, I don't know if it'll work on a DXR3 but it's not really worth it even if it does.

I had the same problems when I installed various DivX playback software with my old Hollywood + card.

In the end I found three bits of software. DivXplus, HH and JP104 but I think they all still only work with Win98, 98se and ME.

Give yourself a treat and get an Sigma Xcard. Fantastic!
