Burned DVD flickers.

Used dvddecrypter then instantcopy to copy and burn a dvd movie.
In each case I ensured that the computer was locked off the internet and I closed programs which could interfere with the processing.
This 1 layer original, thus no compression was required and instant copy was set to 100% non compression.
The original dvd didn't have this problem. The TV is OK on regular channels.
Any clues?

What do you mean by "flicker"? Is the video breaking up into blocks? That would point to reading problems of your standalone.
Incidentally, if the DVD does not require any compression, there is really no need to use Instantcopy, dvddecrypter will do just fine.

The flickering is moderate.There is no breaking up of anything.
The dvd can be viewed fairly comortably and most scenes can be viewed comfortably. If you look for the flicker you can see it.
Is the dvd produced by dvddecrypter playable on a standalone dvd player?

Hmmm ... I still have trouble to imagine how that flicker should look like - perhaps sb else has an idea?
About DVDdecrypter: use it in ISO mode & burn the image - the resulting DVD will be identical to the template DVD (with the exception of user prohibitions, region coding, CSS scrambling and what else you might want to remove).

The only image files I've made are with InstantCopy and they are pdi's with a number, eg pdi01,02,03.
dvddecrypter won't recognize them.
Any solution?

Get the latest dvddecrypter - it should support pdi files. If you don't need any compression, there is really no need to use IC in the first place - read the DVD using dvddecrypter & save it as an ISO first & then write the image (again using dvddecrypter) onto a blank dvd. It does work for a lot of people ...
