Vdubmod and MP2 in avi

Hi,

since Vdubmnod has an MP2 decoder embedded, can it be used to decode MP2 audio in avi? ( I get it recording via DVB in XVID + original mp2)

The trick of encapsulating mp2 with a wav header never worked for me, and there isn't any free MP2 ACM codec around :(

Which program can write correct MP2 WAV headers? (the stream format structure is NOT the same as for MP3!)

fcchandler's latest Mod of Virtualdub ( his MPEG parser code is used in VdubMod since 1.4.x IIRC ) can transmux MP2 audio into AVI, without decodng it, dont know how he's doing it precisely, you may drop him a PM here ....
