I've heard many opinions on resizing, and I know there are many methods. I would like to know how the methods differ from eachother and some opinions on which is best. In VirtualDubMod 1.4.13 the options for resizing are:

Nearest neighbor
Bilinear
Bicubic
Precise bilinear
Precise bicubic (A=-0.75)
Precise bicubic (A=-0.60)
Precise bicubic (A=-1.00)

The methods are described in Vdub´s own help,
I prefer bicubic, after I tried them all with
a 10-second video, what I also recommend to you.

if you want to resize try avisynth - it's much faster

on normal dvds (not hard or easy to compress) i prefer bicubicresize (neutral - 0.5)
