I got whacked recently by this program when I tried to burn around 4490 MB worth of files on a dvd-r via a Pioneer A03 burner. The damn disc is supposed to have a capacity of only around 4488 MB according to the drive scan tool (and http://66.28.31.2/dvd#4.37). Normally, they warn you about attemting to burn too much data. But their math must be faulty, i.e., off by a few MB, near the limit. The resulting disc could not be read by Explorer or any set-top player, even though Prassi said the burn completed successfully. Hope this saves you some grief in the future.
What is the most you ever successfully put on a dvd-r where at least one of the subdirectories was \VIDEO_TS (and the dvd-r was still ultimately playable on a set-top player)? I have reached at least 4458 MB with two or more subdirectories worth of files, as well as setup programs in the root.
