perhaps this is why Rima.com doesn't have Ritek 2.4X DVD+R anymore. I guess I've been in a closet lately cuz I haven't seen 4X DVD+R anywhere till today. I'm guessing 4X DVD+R will burn at 4X (15mins or less since DVD+R doesn't take 3 mins to open close session like DVD-R) and will actually work with Sony DRU500ax. This is music to my ears.

I have been buying the Verbatim 4x for a while now. They look identical to the 2.4x DVDs put out by Memorex and Imation. They may be a little thicker than the Imation ones though. Never had any issues burning with them at 4x speed.

Have any of you seen any 4x DVD+/-R media at the actual stores, not just online, in your areas? I've been keeping tabs for a couple weeks and still none.

Or are the packages just not labeled as 4x?
