How to remove RIFF JUNK Fields in AVIs?

Hey,

how can I remove RIFF Infofields in an avi-file with the type 'JUNK'
and name 'ASCII IN JUNK' (as GSpot 2.2 shows it). 'Contents' is some text.
GSpot does not give me the option to remove them. Any ideas?

Try this: abcAVI (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/abcavitags_editor.html).

You can open the program by right-clicking on the file...

Thanks but thats the program i have a problem with.

I first downloaded the latest 1.7 beta.
I noticed when opening files with GSpot, abcavi writes
a little info from the author into the file (as JUNK type).
Take a look. And i want to remove those infos. I thought
those infos are just new in the 1.7 beta, i downloaded the older
1.61, and it still writes it. I have used 'a older' (cant remember the exact version
number and dont have the installer anymore) and this
older one did not write those infos.

Yeah, I see...
I'm sorry, didn't use the program for a long time...
It rendered an avi-file I used to test it unusable, so I suggest not to use it!

A workaround I found is to re-mux your avi with avimux...
It will remove all tag-data from the avi...

Hmm thats not really a option for me.
See, i will write my own tags into a file, as easy as possible.
With this specific old version of abcavi it was easy and no extra tags from the author.

Re-Muxing, naah, takes me up to 6min for each rip, with GSpot, it is done in 3sec. Just a little more typing than abcavi.
But thanks a lot for this info how to kill all tags.

Well, think I will have to live with that or find 'this old version'.

Well, actually you can add tags with GSpot, just removing them isn't possible...
Somewhere under "Options->New comment" or something...
It will add a 'GSpot' tag though :(

Well, actually it is "edit", not "options" in GKnot...
You may want to take a look at this site:

Last time i tried to download something from dvd.box.sk
i almost got 973 Byte/s (yes, Byte). But i will try again.
