Hello, everyone.
I'm new here and I've never ripped any DVDs before - this is why probably my question will be a bit trivial. Anyway, I would be appreciated if someone could advise me on the process described below and told me how to solve my problem:
I was considering to purchase DVD ripping software and obviously began with checking out all of those trial-versions available for evaluation. One of those that I found quite easy to use is Super DVD Ripper. When I select a general option "DVD to AVI", I have to tell the prog which encoding would I like to use. Okay, I have installed DIVX Codec 5.0.5, selected it, then proceeded with ripping.
Everything seemed to be fine, but strangely the movie was coded this way - 5 minutes SUPER quality, then a couple of minutes of REALLY BAD quality, and so on.
PLEASE, anyone who has used Super DVD Ripper - could you tell me what am I doing wrong and which settings in DIVX Codec should I change in order to get a permanently GOOD stable quality of the whole ripped movie.
If there are any other EASY TO USE programmes that you find better than Super DVD Ripper - I would also appreciate a link.
