I encoded a movie using FlasKMPEG and upon playback it hangs at the end of the first cell/chapter. I don't really know how to approach this problem. Any suggestions?

Also, I'd be very interested in encoding these chapters singularly rather than have them strung together as the entire movie. Is there a way to do that? Just encode a single vob file into an mpeg?

Thanks for your time!

hi and welcome to the forum,

to just encode 1 chapter: just rip only the chapters you want in DVDdecrypter, it has got this option. go to ifo mode, then select just the chapters you need in the lower right corner and rip. iirc this will leave you with small 1 chapter vobs!

about your encoding issues: i don't know why it does that but PLEASE give gknot a try. it is so much better than flask (:
i know it's a little tougher to learn, but in the end it's worth it and the quality you'll get will be way superior!

you could try to open the movie in Vdub or DivFix and see if there are any broken frames though!
