I was hope that I solve this problem but the story goes again.I burned dvd-r with imgtool1.0.04 and the movies goes well on cyberhome dvd standalone.(this was with maxell media).Than I bought some no name dvd-r and I burned it with nero.I just copy a dics with nero because I have it jet on maxell dvd-r wich I burned with imgtool. And that disc work ok in cyberhome.I got some new movies and I burned it with imgtool,I rippied it,remove all not necessery thinks like audio, sound, subtitle to can fit on 4.7,and use imgtool for burn. But this discs(no name) want play on panasonic and xvawe standalone.I don't know is problem because it was burned with imgtool. The disc which I burned exactly copy with nero works, but this no name which I burned with imgtool won't read. Those anyone have a same expirience and if you now how to solve this.I don't know is problem in burning or media,or standalone won't read these discs. But I think discs are not problem because it work on cyberhome.I just wonder is the main think in that I burned it on some brand name discs(like maxell, verbatim), with imgtool and than to copy it with nero on no name? Please help!

Your post is a bit confusing.
If I understood it correctly you made a disc with imgtools (say, disc A) which you copied with nero (disc B). You have 3 standalone DVD players and these two discs play OK in all three. You've made another disc (disc c) which won't play on two DVD players.

My guess is that those two players are not entirely compatible with DVD-/+R media. Try watching the whole movie in Disc A or B in those players - if my guess is right you'll see that the movie will freeze
at some point. I've had this kind of experience with a cheap player I bought which apparently could read DVD+R disks - however, after 30-45 minutes of play, sometimes even less, I would begin to see some picture freezing and had to stop watching.

Also, try IsoBuster http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/
to look at the file systems in your disks (especially C) and see if
you detect any differences.

I burned disk A with Img and it works just on cyberhome player, and won't work with panasonic, and xwave.Second dics B wich I burned with nero(udf/iso 9660 mode1) work on panasonic and won't on other two.I am a bit confused some dvd which my friend bought on street(I don't know who sell it) work on his cyber homeplayer. When I looked those discs in nero (media info) it was udf/iso9660 mode 1 standard and it's work perfectly. But discs which I burned with same standard in nero wont play on his cyber home player. What is the problem?udf is 1.02.I don't know why it won't work. Those anyone know which is the best program for compatibility?Movies which are more than 4.7 I rippid with dvd decrypter ,and seized with dvd shrink. Please help.

Did you try on a real media like RitekG04 ?
Disk that plays in one player and not in another one ? Hummm.. Seems like a media issue.

Also, I do 1:1 copy of my DVD-R with Imgtool : Folder source is just the video_ts dir in my dvdrom reader, and it works OK. Just try before do a coaster becoz of a bad read speed in the dvdrom

This is really a tricky problem. Does your friend's disc plays on ALL of your 3 players ? Also, even though you see that the disc is iso9660/udf you may have relaxed iso9660 features (ex., long filename support) and perhaps inadvertently added Joliet support as well. Some players will be more tolerant of these relaxed standards than others.
Make sure you burn your DVD with NO relaxed features(ISO Level 1 filenames, ISO9660 character set and NO Joliet features). UDF should be 1.02 Physical partition. If you have nero 5.5.10.28 the DVD_VIDEO template properly sets up the UDF filesystem for you - you only need to worry about the ISO9660 properties. A more comprehensive tool to examine your disks is IsoBuster. Do a Google search - it's a freeware program.

Your problem may be unsoluble in the end because some or all of your players may not fully support DVD-/+R media. Reflectivity of these disks is lower than movie DVD-video disks and require higher laser power to read. The player may not be properly designed to do this and may reject the disk or play it well only part way through. I saw this
happen with my MUSTEK DV300 player (plays some DVD+R but not others even though they were burned the same way) and a Media-R player I had for a short time which would play DVR+R well only for 15-30 minutes and then it would start to freeze up. So, to be sure you have full DVD-/+R compatibility you need to watch the WHOLE movie, not just a little bit. Media quality may also be an issue but probably not so much so as player compatibility.

*NO* Joliet ! That will definitely kill your DVD compatibility ! Is your UDF 1.02 in the dvd burned with Nero ? If not, upgrade to latest Nero (5.5.10.28). With this version it is OK to use the DVD_VIDEO template (no longer uses UDF 1.5) to burn your DVD.

OK, but is it the same MODEL of Panasonic DVD player ?
Forget all about the sales pitch crap of DVD+/-R media being 97%+ standalone compatible. Unless the player specs mention DVD+/-R compatibility EXPLICITLY, you may or may not be able to read DVD+/-R discs... remember what I wrote in an earlier post about reflectivity.
Sorry I can't be more helpful ... :(

DVD Video standard is a subset of UDF 1.02. ISO9660 is added in so that PC's can play the DVDs.

If you are referring to the ImgTools way of burning a DVD-video, check the Doom9 guide section. As long as the MPEG-2 video is DVD-compliant (in terms of bitrate, resolution and the like) you should be able to burn a disk that plays on a standalone (or at least on some
of them).

BTW, there are several compatibility guides available. You may try looking for your Panasonic player models at www.dvdrhelp.com. They have a very comprehensive listing with users comments. Maybe that
will help you.
