BeNice is a graphical interface based on BeSweet.dll. Currently supporting WAV,MP2,MPA,AC3 input file types - MP3 and WAV as ouput formats. You'll need besweet package with besweet.dll which can be found on DSPGuru's site.

Cool. Looks like a nicer GUI than the default one (no offense meant to anyone)

Thanks for the effort, I'll give it a try when I get home.

BeNice looks great Rainy. I was wondering if there is a way I could use the --r3mix preset, or if that's something you'd have to recompile it with...

Also, are there were plans for implimenting AC3 output? I'm trying to find a way to take a 2Ch WAV and make a 2Ch AC3 that also applies auto-gain.

Asside from BeSweet.dll, are there any other .dll's required, like ac3enc.dll azid.dll or lame_enc.dll ?

No problem. I'll add all presets supported by lame. About AC3 output, dunno, will see.
And it's a matter of input and output format what dll besides Besweet.dll you'll need. (mp3 - lame_enc.dll, ac3 - azid.dll and so on) ;)

I've been burrying myself in scenarist and I haven't been encoding many MP3's lately, so it's been a while, but I got a chance to try the latest BeNice tonight and I have a couple other questions.

When trying to use a preset like r3mix, shouldn't options like the bitrate and and the CBR and VBR drop downs be disabled?

I am also confused as to why Autogain and Postgain are disabled. I couldn't seem to get those to work. When I tried using Autogain under the Azid settings, the window just disappears when I hit Encode. I thought it was because I didn't have azid.dll in there, but when I copied it in from my BeSweet dir, it still just closed.

Actually, it just closes no matter what I do... strange.

When you using presets all unnecessary settings that dont belong to preset or the encoding mode are simply ignored, you don't have to worry about it :) (hint: check the log)
I disabled Autgain and Postgain switches, because they caused troubles when I transcoded an AC3 to MP3 (the pitch is lowered, jerky playback). I'm not sure if the problems are caused by BeNice or Besweet.
Azid's autogain switch works fine for me, make sure you have the latest dlls. And don't forget to post the log if you have problems, it simply makes it easier to analyse the problem.
