Info about DV format

Hi,

I'd like to have info on DV format, especially concerning where they are putting the datestamp that is recorder on each frame...

I couldn't get this info anywhere (Microsoft DV AVI format specifications on MSDN ? nope... OpenDML specification document ? nope... RIFF AVI specifications ? nope... looking deep in a DV AVI file with an hexa editor ? nope...).

If someone can give me any info about that, or a link, or anything, i'll be happy and i could make a util that will change a DV datestamp...

I know it's DV related, but it's not about "Captuting and editing video", that's why i think this place is better than the DV forum. If i'm wrong, then you'll probably move my post... but i hope not...

For what it's worth....117.2 yen = $1.00 US, so 50,000 yen would be like $426.62. That's taking for granted the figures that I just googled are correct, I certainly didn't have this information on the tip of my tongue.

Ultimatebilly thanks for this info... in fact i know these links, they have given me a lot of info.

But it's not enough to know how they are coding the datetime inside the dv frames... I tried to do some reverse on the c code and on the avi dv headers, but it's harder than i though, cause there are flags for AM/PM etc...

The only things i have to do if i really want these info is to buy the SMPTE 314M document... It's 56 $, i'll see if i really need it.

If anyone has any info...

My favorite DV-info site is the one (http://www.adamwilt.com/DV.html) by Adam Wilt's. It's pretty comprehensive but I'm not sure if you can find what you're specifically looking for, just give it a try and make sure you also check out its recommended links.
