This is a tough question but which one is more likely to get rid of the fuzziness around edges when MSharpen or other sharpen filters are used?

This really shows in Chobits since there seems to be a lotta noise around them, even with no sharpening.

I am _not_ asking which is better overall (I can not really tell ...), just what gets rid of the noise around the black edges, while preserving detail of backgrounds.
You really have to look carefully but if you zoom in on Chii, theres a bunch of imperfections around her hair that shows when played back.

Sorry for sounding "ばか" (stupid)

Actually I don't think either of those filters will help you. Those lines look more like a problem from xsharpen or something than msharpen... if you are using xsharpen i'd really recommend that you supersample your video when applying this filter.
Could you also put up a picture of the unfiltered video, and your avisynth script?
